Affected people have safe and equitable access to a sufficient quantity of water for domestic needs, as per sector's standards.

Affected people have safe and dignified access to improved sanitation facilities, as per sector's standard.

Affected people benefit from community tailored gender- and age-sensitive hygiene messages aiming at hygienic behavior and practices as per sector’s standards.

Affected people benefit from basic gender- and age-sensitive hygiene items including top-ups as per sector’s standard.
Cluster Activities
1
Emergency trucking of chlorinated water before sustainable water supply sources are developed.

Provision of safe drinking water at community and/or household level, through new construction and rehabilitation of water supply systems including handpumps, boreholes rehabilitation or construction, water systems and networks rehabilitation.

Ensuring access to safe water for drinking, cooking and personal hygiene through maintenance/repair and replacement of water system parts (including Handpumps, Solar Systems, Generator Systems, and Electric pumps), operation and maintenance of existing water systems, batch chlorination, bucket chlorination at the points of use, water treatment tablets and provision of fuel for water supply.

Provision of gender-segregated sanitation facilities and services (latrines, showers, handwashing stations) to protect the health and dignity of the affected population also supporting vector control campaigns through development of solid waste and fecal sludge management systems.

Desludging of emergency and institutional latrines as well as related decommissioning of sanitation facilities.

Affected people are reached with community-informed hygiene messages promoting hygienic attitudes, behaviors and practices, including, household water treatment, proper handwashing with soap at critical times and Menstrual Hygiene Management.

Provision and prepositioning of WASH NFIs to the people in need (hygiene kits, replenishment hygiene kits, WASH cholera kits, WASH Nutrition kits, sanitation kits and MHM kits).

Provision of appropriate emergency WASH facilities in Health Care Facilities, Nutritional Centers, temporary learning centers (TLC), Child Friendly Spaces (CFS) and schools supporting affected children, and other relevant public places.
