Cluster Objectives
CO1
Provide common security telecommunications, voice and data connectivity services to humanitarian partners
CO2
Lead inter-agency emergency telecommunications coordination and information sharing to support the operational needs of humanitarian partners
CO3
Build technical capacity of humanitarian partners and strengthen their ability to ensure safety of staff and assets in the field
CO4
Provide targeted assistance to national NGOs that demonstrate a need for telecommunications assistance beyond their organizational capacity
Cluster Activities
CA1.1
Provision of emergency telecommunications and data communications services to humanitarian partners throughout Syria and the surrounding countries in 8 common operational areas
CA1.2
Provision of Maintainance and upgrade of radio Network and Security Operation Centres (SOCs) to increase emergency telecommunication services in all UN operational areas and to enhance the safety and security of humanitarian staff
CA2.1
Provision of Coordination and Information Management (IM) of ETC operations of Whole-of-Syria (WoS) response.
CA3.1
Provision of tailored ETC capacity-building workshop and regular end user training.
CA4.1
Provide support services to other agencies, namely helpdesk/technical assistance, radio installations, radio training, radio programming and radio troubleshooting
