Cluster Objectives

Strengthen the predictability and effectiveness of multi sectorial interventions at site level and/or areas of concentration of sites

Improve community participation, living conditions and safe access to services and assistance in selected sites

Cluster Activities
CA1
Set up of CCCM coordination structures in collaboration with appropriate government counterpart
CA2
Participate on behalf of CCCM in relevant coordination forums

Ensure through CCCM coordination that relevant responders are mobilised towards providing relevant sectorial assistance to those identified as very vulnerable

Ensure the relevant Protection and Shelter responders are aware and take action with regards to HLP issues, specifically evictions are followed up with limited rental support or income generating opportunities

Conduct Detailed Site Assessments on 3 month basis

Establish/update master list of sites at appropriate geographic level

Establish/update service mapping of partners operating in sites

Coordinate/ conduct intention surveys with relevant partners and clusters to ensure the intentions of populations are understood and supported

Monitor service delivery at site level to ensure that there are no gaps or duplication of activities

Establish roving CCCM teams for site monitoring and community engagement

Identify existing governance structures and focal points for sites

Provide capacity building to existing governance structures/focal points

Together with other clusters and partners, as well as the authorities, coordinate the establishment/ efficient use of referral pathways for both protection (including SGBV) and assistance/service delivery to persons with special needs.

Engage with national government and local authorities in relevant geographical locations to develop contingency plans for future IDP influxes

Mapping of existing community structures

Identify and support governance structures, encouraging participation of all different segments of the displaced population and, as relevant, from among the host communities

Conduct micro-level market assessments towards identifying income generating opportunities of those displaced located in IDP sites

Provide technical support and vocational training towards community level diversification of livelihood activities
