The GHO presents a collective picture of humanitarians' achievements and, conversely, what happens when humanitarians are unable to deliver aid.

By 25 November, the GHO 2024 financial requirements stood at $49.6 billion to assist nearly 198 million people in 77 countries. Some $21 billion—or 43 per cent of requirements—were received. Underfunding, access constraints and attacks forced humanitarians to scale back operations. But humanitarians still reached 116 million people with improved water and sanitation, food interventions, health care, protection and education.
